Elder Kennedy's Mission Scripture

Elder Kennedy's Mission Scripture

Alma 26:12

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

Go Chile!

I love this area. We are seeing soo many miracles and I've only been here a week. One of our investigators, Sebastián came to our house on Sunday morning. He knocked on the door and said "take me to church." That was so awesome. But the biggest miracle of all is Daniela and Ben. They were a reference from other Elders. Their story is amazing. Daniela is Chilean but left home and went to the US (New Hampshire) when she was 16 to live with her Aunt. She lived there for ten years and got married to Ben. Together they had been studying all sorts of religions looking for the truth, when they got a feeling that they needed a change. So they prayed about what the should do and saw on the news report of something in Chile and got the feeling that they needed to come here but not knowing why. Elder Stout and I are now teaching them, and they are loving it. We teach them in English since they both know it, and Ben doesn't know very much spanish yet. We put a baptismal date for the 12th of July and they came to church. We know that they have been prepared by the Lord. It is so awesome teaching them.

This Sector is so awesome! I love it. We had a total of 5 investigators in the church this past week. We are also working with the less actives to bring up the attendance, which was 67 yesterday. This place has so much potential. The Lord really has blessed me by putting me here in Villa Sur. I know that with the help of the Lord, we are going to see many many more miracles.

I love the mission. I love this zone Ochagavía.
I am learning and growing everyday here, and I wouldn't change this experience for anything.

Love,
